Company Hanns G. Werner GmbH + Co. KG has been founded in Tornesch, near Hamburg. From day one, the company was built on the values of precision craftsmanship, reliability and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Pioneering Pharmaceutical Excellence.
The brand brand pharm-a-spheres™ got registered. Its founder - Mr. Hanns G. Werner – laying the cornerstone for what would become one of world’s leading pharm-a-spheres™ sugar spheres manufacturer and specialised pharmaceutical excipient manufacturers.
Today pharm-a-spheres™ sugar spheres are produced conform to different pharmacopoeia, like Ph.Eur. Furthermore this product range haves the FDA-Drug Master File.

Expanding Into Homeopathy.
More than two decades after its founding, the company extended its range by one item. Tailored specifically for the homeopathic industry Globuli Sacchari became a member of the range. This step opened the door to an entirely new global market segment.
Expansion of Globuli Sacchari Production
Globuli Sacchari became more and more important. That’s why the decision was made to extend this department. In 2013 new department for Globuli Sacchari opened. This step enables to offer extensive production capacity. Plus to offer specialities like Xylitol- or Sucrose/Lactose-Globuli.

Today
A Third Generation. 1,500 Customers. One Standard of Quality.
Now several decades later pharm-a-spheres™ haves the highest experienced manufacturer of sugar spheres. The company is now led by the third generation of the family. It has grown to over 150 employees, serving customers worldwide, on every continent.
For future growth in sugar spheres it is planned to build a new production at a second side. This side is located in Tornesch, approx. 10 minutes by car from the existing site.
Hanns G. Werner GmbH + Co. KG, operating under the pharm-a-spheres™ brand, is a family-owned pharmaceutical excipient manufacturer based in Tornesch, near Hamburg, Germany. For several decades, we have specialized in the production of premium sugar spheres and globuli sacchari for the global pharmaceutical industry.
Our state-of-the-art facility spans more than 11,000 square meters, where we manufacture 6,000 tons of spheres annually. Combining decades of experience with cutting-edge technology, we serve pharmaceutical companies worldwide with products that meet the highest international standards.
